    Thank you for the comment. Overall the sense of empowerment comes from the ability that it (the vagina and having one) possess. As women (or females for that matter) we have the ability to produce life. So if you were to argue that having a hand, foot or any other part of the human body should give one a sense of empowerment then in this case no, every human has those. They do not create something as amazing as another life. The argument could also be made that men could feel a sense of empowerment for having sperm; it is true that in order to reproduce they play a role, so should men feel a sense of empowerment? Perhaps but that fact that we as women are solely responsible for childbearing and bringing life into this world is amazing. Vaginas should be celebrated for the miracles they produce.

    Yes sexuality could be taken as a natural biological function and because all females are or could be childbearers, essentially all females, no matter the species, could feel a sense of empowerment from being the childbearers. However, as humans we have emotional needs beyond those of our furry friends. Our intellectual capacity gives us the ability to appreciate all that nature has created, our bodies included. So overall yes, it is really empowering knowing that I possess a vagina which is capable of bringing life into this world. Throughout history this has been forgotten, women have been abused and the capabilities that our bodies have taken for granted. It is time to remember that women and the capabilities that their bodies have should be celebrated, not desecrated. That is in fact how we all got here, as far as I know we all spent the first nine months of our existence inside a vagina and we should respect them and the capability that they have. This is why I feel a sense of empowerment to have a Vagina.
